DETERMINING THE RIGHT SIZE OF MASK BODIES

Here you will find information on how to determine the correct size of mask bodies.

DETERMINING THE RIGHT SIZE OF MASK BODIES

To ensure a reliable and comfortable sealed fit, the Moldex respirators series 7000, 8000 and 9000 are available in three sizes S, M and L.

Which size you should choose depends on various factors such as the length, width and shape of the face.

The distance between the base of the nose and the tip of the chin provides a relatively accurate indication of the mask size. However, this method does not replace a choice based on a fit test.

SIZING WITH OUR TEMPLATE

  1. Download our template as a PDF file: Template (PDF)
  2. Print the PDF in A4 format. Ensure in the printer settings that the document is printed in its original size. Settings for page adjustment could falsify the template and thus the measurement results.
  3. Make sure that the document is printed in its original size by measuring the printed measuring strip with a ruler.
  4. Cut out the template along the dotted line.
  5. Place the top of the template at the root of your nose.
  6. Ask someone to read which size range your chin ends in. The recommended sizes are only guidelines.

SIZING WITH A RULER

If you do not have a printer at hand, you can also measure the distance from the root of the nose to the tip of the chin with a ruler and compare it with the following values. The size recommendations are only guidelines.

  • Distance = 110 mm (+/- 5 mm): S (small)
  • Distance = 120 mm (+/- 5 mm): M (medium)
  • Distance = 130 mm (+/- 5 mm): L (large)
