BANDED EARPLUGS: THE OPTIMAL CHOICE FOR FLUCTUATING NOISE LEVELS
Many work situations involve repeated exposure to short bursts of sound. Moving multiple times per day between loud production halls and quiet office spaces or non-operated construction machines are just two examples.
Banded earplugs are very useful in such situations, since they are quick and easy to put on and take off. To put them on, the user simply pulls the band apart a little and places the earplugs over the ear conchae on each side. The tension in the band keeps the earplugs in the correct place, where they offer reliable protection from noise. As soon as the hearing protection is no longer required, the banded earplugs can be removed and worn around the neck. Banded earplugs are ideal for combining with other protective clothing, such as head protection.
BANDED EARPLUGS THAT ARE PLEASANT TO WEAR
In order that banded earplugs are worn consistently and willingly by users, it is vital that they offer a high degree of wearing comfort. It’s with this in mind that our WaveBand® range was designed. Thanks to their perfectly balanced contact pressure, these banded earplugs offer effective, reliable sound insulation without exerting pressure on the users ear.
The lightweight, anatomically inspired design of WaveBand® banded earplugs follows the shape of the lower jaw. This allows them to be worn flush to the jaw, which in turn increases freedom of movement and reduces contact with clothing. Such accidental contact can lead to interfering noise in the ear.
CARING FOR HEARING BANDS
Reusable banded earplugs should be cleaned and maintained regularly in order to maintain their hygiene and protective effect. Moldex hearing bands are available with replaceable foam earplugs. The replacement foam plugs can be purchased as an accessory.
Alternative forms of noise protection include earmuffs and regular earplugs.
